Lobuche Peak, 6119m, is more challenging than the popular Island Peak. From the Lobuche summit you get one of the best views of Mt. Everest as well as many mountains of the Rongbuk side of the Tibet. The trail passes through villages and monasteries where you will be amazed at the strength of survival of the people living in one of the world’s harshest environments. The Lobuche Peak climbing schedule has been carefully designed by our climbing expert; the gradual ascent allows for acclimatization.
Lobuche Peak journey starts from Lukla, and follows the trail to Everest Base Camp, where we spend a couple of days to allow your bodies to acclimatize for the summit of Lobuche. From Everest Base Camp we wind back to Lobuche village, where the trail branches off to Lobuche Peak Base Camp, where we set up camp to prepare for the summit.
The best season for Lobuche Peak climbing is from March to May and from September to December. The duration of the Lobuje Peak trek can be lengthened or shortened according to your preference. Annapurna Foothills Treks and Expeditions will arrange every detail of your Lobuche Peak expedition; lodge accommodation, food, as well as all the necessary climbing and camping equipment.
Note I: Our previous experience shows that three nights and four days program is sufficient to climb Lobuche Peak. In case you would like to stay more than three nights and four days in Lobuche Peak Base Camp or High Camp, you have to pay USD 120 Per Person / Per day, and you will get all the same services as the scheduled days.
Note II: Annapurna Foothills Treks provides all the equipment you will need to climb Lobuche East, Island Peak and Pokalde. We have a store in Chukung which supplies equipment from Camp and Black Diamond Company, which are high quality mountaineering suppliers.
